It Runs in the Family, 2013

At the age of 12 I completed my first ever Canberra Times Fun Run, under the guidance and encouragement of my father. Now, some 33 years later I still run that same race with my father, now in his 70’s and my daughter who is looking forward to her 5th Canberra Times Fun Run. This series of brooches explores a combination of my emotions on that special day, along with the route, that apart from a change in 1986 to increase it to a 10k run, has not changed in all these years.
